Dear Parents,
The children in Kitah Bet had great time learning all about the High Holidays. They learned why and what we do to celebrate these special Holidays through songs, stories and lots of projects.
On Sukot the children of Mazel Day School attended a fun program in the sukkah downstairs. The children really enjoyed making their very own edible sukkah using graham crackers and marshmallow fluff! They then had the opportunity to fulfill the Mitzvot of Sukos which are shaking the Lulav and Esrog, and by eating their favorite lunch (Pizza) in the Sukah! In addition the Second Grade Class performed beautifully a few songs they learned about Sukos to the Mazel audience.
For Simchat Torah which is the Holiday that we rejoice and dance with the Torah, the children decorated a ‘Simchat Torah Flag’. The children wrote in Hebrew why they love the Torah and why it makes them happy. The class than broke out in song and dance which can be seen in the pictures!
