Researching Non-Fiction

In Reading and Writing Workshop we are working on reading and writing Non-Fiction. We are focusing on the features of non-fiction, and how to locate key information in the research process. This month each second grader will be choosing their own non-fiction research topic, and developing a series of inquiry questions to research. These questions are not teacher generated, but rather created by students. I will only guide second grade in creating questions that can be researched.
