Building Pilgrim Villages
When we finished learning about Native Americans, in Social Studies we moved on The Pilgrim Way of Life. We started out by conducting research in our groups, and answering essential questions, such as:
Why did the British come to America?
How did they fulfill their needs?
What was life like for them in a new place?
We moved on the another hands on project where the kids broke up into groups and built a diorama of one aspect of Pilgrim Life....
Take a look at what they groups built totally by hand, without any help from adults,,, only guidance ...

Playing with Magnets in Science
In Science we were learning about magnets.. what better way to learn than to use real magnets to see what attracts, and what repels.. what are north and south poles... how fast can something attract? What can magnets attract? Why don't they pick up certain things? These were all the questions we explored while playing with magnets in our groups...
