IF I WAS A NATIVE AMERICAN

In Social Studies we have been focusing on Native Americans. In class we have four tribes: Cherokee, Iroquois, Apache, Navajo. Each time we meet for Social Studies, there is an Essential Question to research. During this time, students spend time with their tribe to research, and then we come back to share our findings. One of the activities that second graders did was to write about what their life would be like if they were a Native American. They had to think about things like: where they would live, what they would eat, how they would catch their food, and what kind of clothing they would wear. This project is not hanging on a bulletin board outside of the classroom.
