"First Day Jitters" & All About Me...

On the first days of school, I had the second graders do some writing activities to get the creative juices flowing. I read them a book: "First Day Jitters"... it is a book about a girl who is actually a teacher starting her first day in a new school, and how nervous she was. I had the kids write about some of the butterflies, and jitters they felt on their first day of school. This writing is hanging on our writers wall inside the classroom. The second activity was an "All About Me"... this is where second graders were able to write interesting things about themselves. This is hanging in the hallway....
